How Do I Make a Custom Wood Sign?
Have you been thinking about hosting a DIY personalized wood sign workshop or paint party, but you’re feeling nervous because you don’t have a lot of experience with arts and crafts?
We understand, and we’ve got good news for you! There’s no artistic experience required to participate in, and enjoy, one of our wood sign workshops or parties. At the henn house in Burr Ridge, our goal is to provide you with a great experience, new memories, and a custom piece of art for your home. That’s why we make the process easy, and we help you out along every step of the way.
Creating Custom Wood Signs
Whether you’re having a girl’s night with your best gals from Downers Grove, you’re hosting a bachelorette party for friends from Westmont, or you’ve gathered your loved ones from all around the Chicagoland area for a workshop, the process is simple.
First, you’ll choose your design and let us know if there’s any custom text you’d like added. The workshop or party link will have all of the available designs. Don’t see one you like? We can create a custom design for you for an extra fee! Once you have your design, we print a stencil for you, making it easy and fun to decorate your sign. (Don’t worry about free-hand painting!)
Next, you’ll choose your wood stain and paint colors. This happens before your party or workshop, so there’s plenty of time. All boards are prestained before your event.
Our step-by-step instructions walk you through each part of creating your masterpiece, and everyone gets to go home with a custom work of art!
Adult workshops typically last 2 hours, and kids’ workshops and parties are between 1.5 to 2 hours. We also host slime parties for kids, which run about 90 minutes.
