How to Throw A Virtual Party with the henn house

Wish you could throw a virtual birthday party, baby shower, bridal shower, or girl’s night in for you, your child, or a friend? Are you looking for a fun activity that everyone can enjoy from the comfort of their own home? If you answered Yes, then keep reading for our step-by-step guide on how to throw a virtual party with the henn house using Group FaceTime, Google Hangouts, Skype, or Zoom!

Book Your Virtual Party

First, you will need to book your party online HERE. Once everything is set up, you will receive a link from the henn house with design options for you and your guests to choose from. Send the link to your friends so they can pick their own design and let us do the rest! We will package each DIY kit and deliver them to you and your party guests (pick up also available).

Choose Your Virtual Video Conference Platform

There are plenty of free services that will allow you to video call or conference multiple people at the same time. Here are a few of our favorites to help you throw your perfect virtual party:

Group FaceTime: If you and your group are Apple fanatics, then this is the perfect platform for you. Group FaceTime allows you to easily conference up to 32 guests on a video chat. Learn more about how to do so here.

Google Hangouts: Are you and your crew Gmail or Google Suite users? Then Google Hangouts will be easy to use! You can video chat with up to 25 guests at a time through your browser or using the app. Schedule a meeting using your Gmail calendar and add a Google Hangouts video link to the invite to make things easier for everyone to join.  Learn more about how to start a call here.

Skype: Maybe Group FaceTime and Google Hangouts don’t really fit you or your group (or maybe you have a larger group). If that’s the case, then Skype could be a great fit! Using Skype is free, you just need to create a free account and add individuals to your contacts list. Once this is done, you can add up to 50 guests to your video chat. Learn more about how to create an account and use Skype here.

Zoom: Lastly, we recommend using Zoom to host your virtual party. It is used by various companies and organizations to host video conferences, so their quality is top notch!  It’s worth noting that the free version only allows you to video chat for up to 40 minutes at a time. Learn more about using signing up for the free version of Zoom here.

All that’s left to do now is to write up your guest list and get this party started! Once your party is over, don’t forget to share your creation with family and friends on Facebook and Instagram using @thehennhousedecor! We can’t wait to see how your party turns out and see your finished creation!
