Luckily for you, we’ve rounded up a few of our favorite ideas for creative family nights at home.

Play Chef for a Night

Cook dinner as a family! Whether you decide to collaborate and each cook one part of a meal together or have a buffet-style make-your-own pizza or taco bar, round up your family and dive into dinner prep to make a restaurant-worthy creation. Feeling competitive? Challenge your family to a cook off! Who will decorate the most delicious cookie, make the Ultimate Grilled Cheese, or build the funniest face on their plate with fruit?

Build a Fort

Gather up blankets, pillows, and sheets to turn your living room into one giant fort! Stretch blankets across your couch to create a cozy cave. Make tunnels between chairs and tables and pretend you’re camping outside or on an adventure in a submarine! You can even add twinkle lights for an extra magical, enchanted effect. 

Family Game Night

Grab your board games and hit the couch or the kitchen table! Make up teams for Monopoly or battle it out in BattleShip. Put your own spin on CandyLand, or deal out a deck of cards for a game of poker or Spades. Don’t own a ton of board games? No problem! Grab some construction paper and build your own game, work on your acting skills in Charades, or practice making some art with Pictionary.

Karaoke Night

Host your very own version of American Idol or The Voice in your living room when you crank up the tunes, grab a water bottle “microphone”, and belt one out! Turn up the heat and make it a competition by appointing parents as judges and including rounds with themes (like love songs or musical numbers) or categories (like classic rock or 80s faves!). 

Have a Dance Party

Pick your favorite station and get your groove on with some good tunes. Make your own dance routines up as you go or battle it out free-style. By the end of the night you will have some serious moves to show off while burning calories at the same time!
